The client had called Chase on Thursday to see where the Loan Modification Application was in the process, and was told it was in underwritting since June 16th, and that the foreclosure was still on hold. The following Monday afternoon at 2pm the client decided to call the foreclosure attorney to verify that the foreclosure was indeed on hold. The attorney's office informed them that their home was going into foreclosure the next morning at 10AM. The client a week later has still not heard on the progress of the Loan Modification. The client declared Chapter 13 in order to save their home. The bottom line, IF YOU HAVE A HOME LOAN MODIFICATION PENDING, DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOAN SERVICER'S WORD THAT THE FORECLOSURE PROCESS HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD!
